Install NGINX 1.27.4 vs Unit 1.34.1 - which is the way to go?

What is the difference between these products. Is the Unit the latest version and the direction nginx is going?
I ask for clarity as I am chasing nginx 1.27.4 and perhaps I am wasting my time deploying as the Unit is the way to on new deployments.

The Unit examples reflect static websites (no problem)m but to have a dynamic website (do I need to deploy 1.27.4 or am I now meant to deploy js server etc.) or what is the way forward as a product? Is there a architecture roadmap illustrating this?

Looking for info.

Main roles for the nginx are:

  • web server
  • load balancer
  • forward proxy

NGINX Unit is the dynamic universal application server, it’s polyglot and supports several different languages.

So, deployment one of those depends on the goals and implementation details.

Hi all, it seems the hosting provider environment is not consistent/reliable. The result is a fail and I will have to move to another. Pity as they were apparently quite acknowledge as a hosting provider.
