Hello, NGINX community members.
Over the past few years, NGINX has gradually shifted how we interact with community users, and the open source community at large.
We have made a commitment to strengthening a healthy NGINX open source community; we’ve also started following through. This blog post, Strengthening the NGINX Community, explains more about the changes we’re making, how, and why.
At the top level:
- We’ve released a public roadmap
- We’re open sourcing previously commercial features, such as releasing HTTP Connect Forward Proxy last week in 1.31.0
- We’re improving the contributor experience: processes, acknowledgment, encouragement, and communication
- We’re starting quarterly NGINX Community Calls, where contributors, users, and the NGINX team will get together to discuss development, unblock Issues, and more.
Thank you for being part of the NGINX community. Or, welcome, we invite you to join.
